Tesla’s troubles with media reports on working conditions and union organizing took a hard right turn on Monday. In response to Reveal’s report on Tesla’s workplace safety, the auto manufacturer accused the Pulitzer-finalist of being “an extremist organization working directly with union supporters to create a calculated disinformation campaign against Tesla.”

Memminger Roadster 2.7 is the ultimate VW Beetle

Filed under:

As charming and cute as classic Volkswagen Beetles are, there’s no getting around the fact that they’re not especially sleek, nor are fast. At all. That is with the exception of this, the Memminger Roadster 2.7. It’s a custom Bug built by a German restoration shop called Memminger. It’s low, it has extremely wide, pumped up fenders, and has been turned into a two-seat roadster. It almost looks like a Porsche 356, but bigger. And check out those sweet plaid seats.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is the best sports sedan out there

You could buy the BMW, and be boring. You could buy the Mercedes-Benz, and be smugly content. You could be the Audi, and play it safe. You could buy the Lexus, and be comfortable enough. Or… you could buy the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, and be a hero. If you …

Automobili Pininfarina’s PF-Zero will be all-electric, ultra-fast

One thing potential customers of Automobili Pininfarina’s circa-$2.5-million, 250 mph electric hypercar can be rest assured of: It should look good. “Above all it must be beautiful,” Italian design director Luca Borgogno told a small gathering of the world’s press at the exclusive launch of the new car brand in Rome, on the eve of the first-ever Formula E race there last week.

Ford Mustang fans refuse to let a little snow spoil a birthday party

Filed under:

The Ford Mustang turns 54 today. Despite being well into middle age, passion for the Mustang and all its variants and offshoots has never been stronger. Sure, the sales figures can tell you a lot. Ford sold 125,809 last year, more than any other sports coupe in the world. But that number doesn’t say it all. Really, it takes just one visit to your local cars and coffee or a snowy celebration at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, to see what I mean.

Ferrari 488 Pista Prototype Drive | Pants-soiling straight-line performance

Filed under:
,,,,,

Full-throttle acceleration in the Ferrari 488 Pista is genuinely terrifying. Wheelspin is a genuine threat at any road-legal speed — and when that happens, its rear end steps out with the same violence as the car accelerates. And that is saying something. The 488 Pista is diabolically quick. Like, hallelujah-hold-on-tight, praise-the-lord, scream-like-a-child and slap-yo-momma quick.
