One of the great things about technology is – with the exception of Apple products – consumers get more for their money every year. For example, the first 1GB USB drive I bought in 2005 cost me $30. Today you can get 10 for that price, delivered to your door thanks to Amazon. The same goes for car tech.

Spotify might be working on an in-car music player

Rumors have been circulating that Spotify is working on some sort of hardware, possibly an in-car controller or a standalone player. As The Verge reports, a number of Reddit users have claimed to have received offers for the device, with plan price points ranging from $12.99 to $14.99 per month, but when they clicked the offer that appeared in the Spotify app, they were directed to an error page. Some have also reported that their offers noted that the device had 4G built in.

A new device will allow millions of older-model Ford vehicles to be upgraded to include the same connectivity perks found in newer vehicles. The FordPass SmartLink device will enable features like a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, smartphone integration of key fob features like remote engine start, lock and unlock, vehicle health and security alerts, and vehicle location tracking.
